Raid Train to Benefit the CPD annual Toy Drive

Entirely self funded and run by two people who don't know how to tell anyone no, I co run this toy drive with my coworker Jaime. We try to provide 4 wants and 4 needs to every child. We rely solely on donations. (not gonna lie, typically the biggest donator is me........). We don't turn anyone away and any "extras" we have we open a "shop" up for families in the community that didn't sign up in time to get gifts from us or other agencies. We keep a diaper/wipe/hygeine pantry here year round BUT those are still typically requested as well as toys. This is a "donate what you want" - if you want to donate any tips, that's fine. If you want to donate a percentage of your sales, also fine. If you want to be on the train and use your $ to shop from our wish list, fine.........in all the years I have helped with this toy drive, there was only 1 wish we couldn't fill - the child asked for an autographed football jersey from their favorite player. We had zero connections (and I am friends with 2 retired NFL Players, neither of them could get thru to the player for me). Help keep the magic alive folks!
