Challenges: How to Create, Join, and Complete Community Goal Events
Challenges: How to Create, Join, and Complete Community Goal Events
Challenges let organizers run collaborative goal-based events with sellers over a defined time window.
You can use Challenges to coordinate show goals, track completion, and keep participants aligned from kickoff to wrap-up.
What a Challenge Includes
A challenge usually has:
- A title and description
- A start and end date
- One or more goals
- Participants who join and complete goals
- Progress visibility for organizers and participants
- Optional invite links and invite codes
Create a Challenge
- Go to Dashboard.
- Select Create Challenge.
- Add your challenge title, date range, and description.
- Build your goals:
- Task goals for simple completion items
- Show goals for livestream-based objectives
- Add a thumbnail image if desired.
- Save the challenge.
Tip: Use clear, specific goal names so participants understand exactly what counts as complete.
Set Up Goals the Right Way
When defining goals:
- Keep each goal single-purpose
- For show goals, set realistic show counts
- Add due dates when timing matters
- Include short descriptions with examples
A good goal is measurable, specific, and easy to verify.
Invite Participants
Organizers can invite participants using:
- Invite link
- Invite code
Participants can join by:
- Opening the invite link, or
- Entering the invite code in the join flow
Once joined, participants are added to the challenge and can begin updating progress.
Participant Workflow
After joining:
- Open the challenge page.
- Review goals and due timing.
- Mark task goals complete when finished.
- For show goals, add required details (such as link, title, times, notes, and thumbnails when applicable).
- Keep notes updated so organizer and team context stays clear.
Organizer Workflow
On the challenge detail page, organizers can:
- Monitor participant progress across all goals
- Open participant-level detail
- Share and regenerate invite links/codes
- Broadcast updates to participants
- Print challenge details for planning or wrap-up
Public Event View vs Authenticated View
The public challenge event page is designed for visibility and discovery.
The authenticated challenge detail page is where active management and progress updates happen.
Use public pages for promotion, and authenticated pages for execution.
Printing a Challenge
Use Print Challenge from the challenge detail page to open the print layout.
The print view is optimized for:
- Key challenge metadata
- Goal checklist format
- Paper-friendly structure
This is useful for live desk setup, team briefings, and post-event wrap-up.
Best Practices
- Keep challenge duration focused (not too long)
- Use 3 to 8 goals for most events
- Prefer clarity over clever wording
- Send organizer broadcasts at major milestones
- Include one simple “quick win” goal early to build momentum
Common Issues and Fixes

Invite code does not work

Wrap-Up Checklist for Organizers
After the challenge ends:
- Review final participant completion stats.
- Verify show-goal evidence and notes.
- Send final broadcast with outcomes and next steps.
- Export/print records if needed.
- Plan the next challenge using lessons learned.
