Notifications Reference

Raid Train Express keeps you informed about your trains and slots through several notification channels.

Notification Types

Type When it fires Invite You’ve been invited to join a train RSVP A participant accepted or declined your slot invite Application Someone applied to join your train (Approval policy) Slot Change Your slot was modified (time changed, reassigned, etc.) Slot Reminder Your slot is starting soon Train Reminder A train you’re in is starting soon Train Start A train has started Caboose The caboose winner has been locked for your train Rating Someone rated you after a completed train System Platform announcements and account notices

Channels

In-App Bell: The notification bell in the nav bar shows unread count. Click to see your notification feed.

Email: Key notifications (invites, slot assignments, train reminders) are also sent to your registered email.

Push Notifications: Enabled via the Chrome extension. The extension badge shows unread notification count. Browser push prompts appear for train starts and slot reminders.

Managing Notifications

You can mark notifications as read individually or all at once from the notification panel.

Notification preferences (which types to receive by email vs in-app) can be managed from your account settings.

Late Cancellation Warning

When a participant cancels within 24 hours of their slot, your notification includes a ⚠️ Late Cancellation flag so you know to expedite finding a replacement.
